Halloween Lights

If you love Halloween, then you are probably big on decorating for this fun and unique holiday.  Giving your home a spooky or entertaining feel for Halloween can make the holiday special and delight children and adults who are lucky enough to come trick-or-treating at your door.  One way to take your Halloween decorating to a whole new level is to put up halloween lights.  Halloween lights come in a variety of styles and colors and can complete your Halloween decorating look, whether you’ve got gravestones and skeletons in your front yard, or friendly little black cats and pumpkins on your porch and in your windows.

Halloween lights come in several different varieties.  Of course, there are the basic lights that are like Christmas lights, but are orange, yellow, and black instead of red and green.  These lights are great because they go with any other Halloween decorations that you have already, whether your style is scary or lighthearted.  You can string these lights around your house or porch, put them in your windows, hang them in your trees, line your walkway with them, or accent your other decorations so they can be seen even when the full moon is hiding behind the trees.

Other types of halloween lights include lights that are shaped like popular Halloween images such as ghosts, witches, pumpkins and bats.  These lights are fun because they look like regular lights from a distance, but when you get up close you can see that they are really much more detailed and special.  Hang little ghost lights around your old porch to make trick-or-treaters wonder if they aren’t just a little real, or accent your witchy décor with purple witches lit up from inside.

Some other halloween lights are for more specific projects.  Floodlights will show off your custom tombstones and life sized zombies 24 hours a day.  Lights with changeable faceplates will let you broadcast the bat symbol or a ghostly shape on your garage door after the sun goes down.  Lights that give off a colorful glow will create an eerie feeling in your yard on long October nights.  And strobe lights not only create a fearsome setting, but also let you get the party started with a dance atmosphere.  The type of halloween lights you choose will depend entirely on your personal decorating style and feelings toward this surprisingly versatile holiday.
